STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® is axe-cited to announce that the International Women’s Cup will return for a third successive season, providing fans with the opportunity to see the very best female talent in elite logger sports go head-to-head to crown the International Women’s Champion.
This year’s International Women’s Cup will take place on Sunday 25th August (11am CEST) at the Vogtland Arena in Klingenthal, Germany. The famous ski jumping stadium will host the competition during the same weekend as the German Championships, which take place at the same venue the day before.
After debuting in 2022 and returning successfully in 2023, the 2024 International Women’s Cup promises a thrilling competition, bringing together a world class field of logger sportswomen to fight across three TIMBERSPORTS® disciplines: Stock Saw, Single Buck and Underhand Chop.

Hosts and European nations aiming to turn up the heat in face of overseas challenge Germany’s world record holder Alrun Uebing and Nina Pokoyski are confirmed as the host’s representatives and will be leading the European charge alongside Swiss veteran Yolanda Gnädinger. They will face stiff competition from the oversea nations with Canada’s national champion and world record holder, Steph Naud, Australia’s women’s champion, Maddison Kirley, and returning 2023 bronze medalist, Anne Paterson from New Zealand.
Additionally, the USA will send their national women’s champion, who will be crowned at the end of July. With the nation’s traditionally strong roster of competitors, the US representative will be among the favourites for the title. Last year’s competition was won by USA’s Erin LaVoie, who will be hopeful of returning to defend her crown.
